Terms and Conditions

Nohant Holiday Accommodation – Nohant-en-Graçay – 18310

1 – RENTAL SEASONS:

1.1 Peak Season: June 1st to September 30th
1.2 Off Peak Season: October 1st to May 31st
1.3 Check-in/Check-out: Check-in: 5pm / Check-out: 10am

2 – RENTAL PRICE:

The total rental fee is set for the entire accommodation (maximum occupancy: 6 people.)
Tourist tax not included: €0.70 per day per person.
If the accommodation is left in a state of uncleanliness, the holding deposit will not be fully refunded.

3 – LENGTH OF RENTAL:

The minimum stay is 7 nights during peak season.
For shorter stays (minimum 3 days during off peak season) please contact us.

4 – DOWN PAYMENTS, DEPOSITS AND FEES:

4.1 Down payments: the booking is reserved once the deposit and a 30% down payment is received.
The remaining balance is due 1 month before your arrival at the latest.
In case of a no-show within 24hrs of the agreed contract date and if the lessor has not been made aware of the delay, they reserve the right to relet the accommodation and keep any monies paid during the booking process.
In case of termination:
Any termination must be done via registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt. Down payments will be refunded within a month from the reception of the letter by the owner.
4.2 Refund of down payments:
– 100% of the monies paid if the termination takes place more than 1 month before your scheduled arrival date.
– If the termination takes place within 1 month of your scheduled arrival date, the owner withholds the entire sum of monies paid by the tenant.

In case of permanent closure or business restrictions caused by external events outside the lessor’s intention, all monies paid as a down payment will be refunded. No compensation may be demanded.

4.3 BILLS: included in your rental fee:
Electricity: a weekly allowance of 200kw, 50kw for the weekend, price per KW above the allowance: €0.150
WATER: 1000L per day. price per litre above the allowance: ……..
If the accommodation is left in a state of uncleanliness, the holding deposit will not be fully refunded.
VERY HIGH-SPEED INTERNET INCLUDED.
FREE PRIVATE AND CLOSED PARKING SPACE.

5 – OCCUPANCY:

Maximum: 6 people.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.
Pets allowed: on demand.
If the occupancy exceeds the maximum rate stated in the contract, the contract will be fully terminated. Any monies paid as part of the booking process will be withheld.
However, the lessor has the capacity to renegotiate the conditions of the letting contract after signing an amendment.

6 – HOLDING DEPOSIT:

A holding deposit, set aside to cover any damage or unsatisfactory levels of cleanliness and the various costs these may cause, has been set to the value of 700 EUR.
This deposit is to be paid during the booking process and will be refunded within 10 days after check out and after an inventory has been completed by the owners.

7 – TERMS OF CONDITIONS – RENTAL CONDITIONS:

7.1 reservations are to be made on the Gîtes de France website (https://www.gites-de-france.com/) or via our own website (https://legitedenohant.fr/“.)
After the reservation is made, the holding deposit and the down payment are paid, the lessor will send to the potential lessee a legal description and two copies of the rental agreement, both of them dated.
The lessee must send back a signed copy of the aforementioned agreement within 2 weeks.
Once received, the lessor will themselves send back the agreement with their signature. The rental then becomes final, otherwise the reservation will be cancelled. In that case, the down payment and the holding deposit will be refunded.
7.2 Inventory
The lessor must provide the rental unit as described and in a satisfactory state of hygiene and cleanliness. The lessee must leave the property in the same state.
If the accommodation is left in a state of uncleanliness, the holding deposit will not be fully refunded.
It is agreed that an inventory visit will be conducted during check-in and check-out.
If the accommodation is damaged by the lessee, the holding deposit will not be refunded.

8 – PARTICULARS AND TERMINATION:

If the guest wishes to terminate the contract, they must be aware of chapter 4.2.
The lessor may also terminate the contract but must refund all monies paid within 10 business days.

9 – INSURANCE:

The lessee will have to prove that their multi-risk home contract is up to date with the contribution and includes a vacation clause, covering the risks of “fire”, “water damage”, for which they could be held responsible.
If this isn’t the case, the lessee can ask for an extension from their insurance provider or a new temporary vacation policy for the duration of the stay.
The lessor reserves the right to contact the lessee’s insurance provider in order to confirm.

In the absence of an insurance policy, or if the insurance provider refuses to provide confirmation, the lessor reserves the right to cancel the reservation or refuse access to the property. In that case, no down payment will be refunded.

10 – THE LESSEE AGREES:

– to abide by the maximum occupancy.
– to quietly enjoy the accommodation and to cause any trouble or nuisance (no outdoor music.) The public health code is the reference and specifies three categories of neighbourhood noise:

  • Noise linked to the behaviour of a person, an item in their possession, or an animal for which they are responsible. (article R. 1334-31 – CSP). For example, noise stemming from speakers, barking, white goods, and improvement works.
  • Noise linked to activities (work or sporting, cultural or leisure) (articles R. 1334-32 to R. 1334-35 – CSP).
  • Noise caused by construction works (article R. 1334-36 – CSP).

– to not sublet the property nor transfer the agreement over to a third party.
– to notify the lessor as soon as possible of any damage affecting the property, the furniture, or the equipment.
– to respect the property and not to modify it.
– to allow the lessor or a mandated third person to undertake, during the tenancy, any repairs required by urgent unforeseen circumstances while relinquishing in advance any demands for any compensation or rent decrease.
– to abide by the process agreed with the lessor put in place to return the keys to the property.

Pool: the pool is shared with the owners and their relatives free of charge between 10am and 6pm. Children must remain under the supervision of their parents or guardians. In case this amenity is not available, no compensation may be demanded, as it is provided free of charge if it is available.

Tidying up: we kindly ask you to leave the property the way it was found on arrival.

Options:
– The rental of extra bed sheets, towels, household linen, and shower mats will occur an additional charge. The rate that applies at the time of booking while be the rate that applies during your stay. These rates will be displayed inside the property.
Beach/pool towels are not included.
– Available on demand (free of charge): 1 travel cot,1 baby’s cot, 1 high chair, 1 deckchair, 1 baby tub. Please ask during the booking process.
